Treasures for Me

I didn’t know what I would write about today.  In fact, I’m not going to write much at all.  I found this in my Dad’s stuff today.  It’s in his handwriting.  It’s a treasure, I’m sure someone else wrote it, but it’s still a treasure to me.  He was more absent than present in my life, so it means a little more to me today than it might have a year ago. Good advice.

Grace is a gift,

Julie

  1. So the last time I was at my parents’ house I found something really cool that this post made me think about. My dad’s sister found a card where my grandma had written her classic sign off “Love ya!” and had it made into a keychain by someone on Etsy. I thought it was a great idea for keeping a memory. Maybe something you and your family could do with part of this note. Just a thought.

  2. Julie, I just saw this today! Just the fact that he thought this was worthwhile enough to write it down is quite a gift. That he thought this for a moment, probably many moments. Jill’s idea is great!
